AMERICAN LEGION - JULY 27, 2007

angelina-n-bob.JPG

I’m always telling you how much fun we have playing the Legion (Post 66 in Green Valley) but forget to thank the folks behind the bar who lubricate the crowd.  I hope you always take good care of Bob who pours a mean tequila and Angelina who is as efficient as she is cute.  Jen flitted away at picture time, but I will catch her eventually.  I want to thank her again, publicly, for being so cooperative with our schedule all the time.  Sorry again about the next 2 New Year’s Eve partys Jen!

The humidity made for a hot night, but we didn’t take out any dancers - next time we’ll have 2 fans going.  Thanks to Maureen for bringing some of the Quail Creek crowd at the end.  All in all, a pretty good crowd for summer time.  We look forward to seeing everyone there on August 24th.

PS - We are getting a new batch of t-shirts this Friday, I will have Mediums back in stock.

RIP - HIDEOUT GIG

Well, I am sad to inform our Tucson East fans that our run at the Hideout ended a month early.  I had hoped to go out with a bang in August but the light crowd and slower summer business prompted Bob (the owner) to cancel the August gig.  Due to personnel changes quite a few regulars were missing.  We had fun there and met quite a few good friends that we will miss.  As I’ve said before, I will try to get us another public venue in Tucson - keep an eye out and visit the website just in case we get something for August 18, but it will probably be next year.  Our gratitude to all the Hideout regulars & visitors that spiced up many a Saturday night.

GVR & THE ELKS - JULY 2007

Khang, Bob, Steve & yours truly were happy to be gigging again as you can tell by Khang’s picture above.  We played for the Green Valley Rec Center on Friday and made it through the night without losing power.   A nice, spacious dance floor at the Canoa Hills Rec. Center - we just want to see more of you filling it on September 7 when we return.  I’ll get some pictures.

Now we love to see people dancing and having fun and that’s what we saw at the Elks on Saturday.

I had a hard time weaving between the dancers and that is great.  When our lovely bartenders request songs and dance along, you know we’re having fun.  Thanks to everyone who helped us close the place down.
