ELKS CLUB GREEN VALLEY 10-6-07

bob-ss.JPG

Now this is a bit more like it.  Crowd-wise I mean.  Not that we didn’t enjoy our new “Wahoo” girls, Sarah & Stephanie from Oregon (pictured here with Bob as their great-aunt warns them about musicians).  We were worried about the empty chairs we saw at 7, but they filled very quickly as we started playing.  Everyone enjoyed our new numbers, “Love Will Keep Us Alive”, “Chances Are” & “Let’s Dance” - sorry about messing up on the rhythm Steve - and just like the night before, we brought back a few songs that had been in hibernation.  The dance floor stayed nice and full and I am happy to report only one minor injury during a line dance (I always envision a domino-like tumble if someone turns the wrong way).  Thanks to everyone that dropped money in the tip jar, Khang was able to buy something to eat on the way home.  See you next month!

AMERICAN LEGION OCT. 5 - STRANGELY QUIET

I know the comely Adrienne & her lovely friends weren’t there, but I wanted to use this picture that I took last time.  The night started quietly and ended with plenty of room on the floor.  Very strange for this time of year, maybe the crowd is getting tired of us?  We did mix up the set lists, resurrecting a number of older songs.  We also debuted 3 new ones.  We did have Annie & Bob heckling us to keep us on our toes, thanks to everyone who did make it out - we’ll see you next month!
