Well the joint was packed and jumping last night.  It’s great to see so many friends and fans out - I’m sorry a few had to leave because there was no place to sit.  A hint - come back for the third set, some tables open up then.  Everyone helped us wish Mike a happy birthday, you got to hear a couple of new songs (Devil with the Blue Dress, ehh, but you liked Suzie Q).  We’ll see in the bar again on Feb. 29th, but quite a few of you said you would come out to the Sports Bar at the Casino on the 15th & 22nd.  We’d love to see you out there.  It wasn’t our most mistake-free gig ever, but you have no idea how much an enthusiastic crowd that sings along helps you get over a missed chord or forgotten words (the last couple of times it’s been me, but let me know if you caught the way one of us re-wrote a classic love song).  Oh, and the T-shirt I was wearing was a gift from Bob & the Band - even if it is Gilbert & Mid Life Crisis, I’d only be a head on billboard without these guys.  Let me finish with an artistic shot that shows when all the music and laughter is gone, all that’s left is the debris of the evening that Bob & Angelina have to clean up.  Until we meet again . . .  Gilbert & Mid Life Crisis

It was gratifying to see more of the crowd stay for the last set - love those die hards.  I don’t believe we come back here until May 23 (Sarah/Judy, send me a note if I’m wrong) - so I hope we’ll see some of you at our other GV gigs or maybe at the Casino.

Thanks to Guitar God #3 Steve Swinehart (first picture) we made a hot room steamy by the end of the night.  The Tucson East Elks Lodge had us out to provide a little dancing music for some wonderfully enthusiastic people.  My thanks to the lovely Joanne (the hottest babe in the joint, but I am biased) for taking some shots that we could share with everyone.  My good friends Neva and Terri were there to join the party as well.  This is a nice club and I hope we get more of the members out to join the fun if we can make our way back.  People laughed, danced, filled our tip jar, bought us drinks and took off panty hose - hey, if you had been there, you could be talking about it too.  Thanks again to Nancy, George & Dee and everyone else that worked to put the evening together.  We hope to see you soon.
