Earl & Rick (behind the bar) knew that had to gird their loins when they saw the Mid Life Shirts walking into the Sports Bar Friday night.  The dancers came out and the place was full until midnight.  Jan was there to document our friends from Green Valley and some of the Quail Creek crowd was ready to give a few line dance lessons (more in a bit, have to go work out) (okay, found a moment to finish up).  I’m always amazed that dedicated line dancers find a way to get out to the majority of the songs.  I’ll post the shots Jan took as soon as she gets them to me - it may take her awhile to recover - that was her first day off  in months and she made the most of it.  Our thanks to those of you that bought your Mid Life T-shirts, we look forward to seeing you when we return here on Saturday, March 8.

What a night!  Packed house full of sing-a-long dancers.  We saw a lot of our T-shirts and sold some more - it’s nice to be appreciated.  It’s also nice to know the songs that you request.  We finally debuted “Brown Eyed Girl” for a couple of very appreciative ladies along with “And I Love Her” & “Devil with the Blue Dress”.  Oh yeah, we did YMCA much to Steve’s chagrin - he doesn’t get to play on it, he just vamps it up - but the dancers sure didn’t mind.  We always have fun here, but last night was pretty special - thanks for letting us be part of it.

We were lucky to have some good friends brave the cold wet weather to welcome us back to the Sports Bar.  I want to thank Rachel, Porf, Julie, Miguel, Angie, Juan (the ladies are my very able staff at the office) along with Bob, Nadia, Jerome (? Okay, so it’s SEAN!  I came back to correct it but I understand he is more famous as Jerome, the disco freak who did the Worm during “Funky Music White Boy.  Okay, allegedly, but what good is having a casino persona if you don’t use it to cut loose?), Candy, Cecilio, Lani, Jacinda & Jason for taking the time to come out and listen.  Rick & Joey behind the bar kept them supplied.  I want to also thank all or Green Valley Friends who showed the others what the dance floor was for.  We were able to dust off some of the rockers that had been shelved for a bit and we broke in a couple of new songs.  The last hour is tough without any dancers and were lucky enough to have a couple to keep us company.  Here’s hoping we see more dancers next Friday.  Thanks to Jeff for bringing us back
