Well, looks like you can get a line dance started anywhere.  I’m glad the lovely teachers got a break from running the carnival to get a dance in.  I wish I could have picked up a camera while the kids joined them on “Funky Music” but I had the cowbell (Steve’s favorite percussion istrument) out.  We missed Bob “Lurch” Diedrich on this gig, but the attendees were very kind - thanks, I know the vocals were thin in parts.  Special thanks to Joyce & Carol for making the trip out to hear us.  For those of you that have not read our history, this is the site of our first gig lo those many years ago.  I told Joanne & Cathy  we would be back for at least 1 more.

Hey, I got quite a few shots.  We welcomed Sue, Maureen, Bonnie & Bill back from the night before (along with a few more that I will mess up so you can remind me later or shoot me an e-mail)Oops, I almost forgot the lovely Bev and her friend Hannah.  The j0int was jumping all night long, such a treat.  I think Maureen & Sue were trying to see if they could make Jim faint from dancing so much.  Bill closed the place down (no smoke to deal with here) along with a dance floor’s-worth of friends.  This holds for the legion, but we get such a kick from seeing our t-shirts everywhere on the floor - thanks so much.  Sorry we had to cancel the May 31st gig, but we have a sub for June 14th, see you then.

It’s been a few days, what do I recall about our recent “Lost Weekend” in Green Valley?  The pictures show we had a pretty crowd for the first 2 sets.  Sue & Maureen tore up the floor for pretty much the entire night.  Maureen helped us “sing” a song.  Muggs had a good time dancing, our favorite frauline had fun, “Wild Bill” was back in action and there a lot of buzz beforehand about the smoking vote.  Oh, and Dewey got to experience the Mid-Life-phenomenon for the first time.  Not a bad Friday night.  Look forward to doing it again on May 9.
