CORPUS CHRISTI CHURCH - JULY 27, 2008

The kids got it going early this time.  Once they decided they liked the beat, they were lined up waiting for the next song.  I was a bit worried Mariles didn’t have enough support for the line dances, but there were plenty of takers (Jason & Jeffrey, good job guys!).  We had 2 young men that danced almost every song so they won a T-shirt but I’m afraid they kids thought they were a give-away.  Parents - only $10 to join the Mid Life Crisis fan club - I promise you we age giving the church a good price to play.  Much like the building fund, we have an equipment fund.  I’m sure we’ll be back, but I hope some the dancers make it out to our eastside gigs @ Taco Bron & Chuy’s.  See you soon!

AMERICAN LEGION GV - JULY 25, 2008

ELKS CLUB GREEN VALLEY - 7-19-2008

I forgot my camera, didn’t have batteries for the mp3 player for bumper music, Bob’s truck broke down and someone whined about the volume.  All in all, not the smoothest gig we’ve ever had.  On top of that, we got soaked when we were loading.  Luckily, we had more than enough dancers who didn’t mind the sound level and stayed with us all night long.  Too bad about the camera - I would have loved a picture of Bev’s festive summer dress or one of Cheryl & her table of friends.  It was so good to see Bob Berry back out with Annie (and we all made sure he paced himself).  For the members that read this, don’t forget the meeting on the 28th regarding the “T-shirt issue”.  Whatever side you weigh in on, be sure to make your opinions known.  I wonder if it will apply to the bands that play there as well?  Let me know.  As a member, I hope I can make it out.  Thanks to those who came out and stayed!
