ARIZONA CHILDREN’S ASSOCIATION 10-11-2008

hpim1559.JPGhpim1560.JPGhpim1561.JPGhpim1562.JPGWe were honored to be asked back for a second year to participate in this worthy fundraiser.  The JWMarriot Starr Pass Resort did a wonderful job and Linda (Bob’s wife) was graciaous enough to let us join her at her table.  Lupita Murillo (much cuter in person) served as emcee and Rodney Glassman (not so cute, but very energetic and generous) served as Linda’s honorary co-chair for the event.  I always worry when so many people leave when the music starts but it seemed that those that stayed with us had a good time.  I sincerely hope this wonderful organization hit their fund-raising goals.  Please check out their website, www.arizonaschildren.org/index.html, if you want to help.

CHUY’S TANQUE VERDE - 10-10-2008

AMERICAN LEGION POST 66 10-3-08

Ah the lovely twins from Oregon were back in town and made a special trip to the legion to be part of the show.  It’s nice to know that our shirts are being so wonderfully displayed in the Northwest.  Angelina admitted that we made enough to be allowed back on the 24th.  We trotted out 3 new songs for our friends and all were well received - thank you, we do try to mix it up while still playing those songs you request from our playlist.  We were a week late, but happy to sing Happy Birthday to Joyce.  The Cooks were there (wow, one year since we played their 50th Anniversary Party?) and Bonnie made an ethereal appearance for one set (thank you for the lovely prints!).  Bill and Addy were the some of the first people ever to dance to Pipeline.  Thanks so much, see you in 3 weeks!
