JAN HUTTON’S BIRTHDAY 6-12-2009

000_0002.jpg000_0003.jpg000_0006.jpg000_00071.jpg000_00091.jpg000_00132.jpg000_00151.jpg000_00172.jpg000_00181.jpg000_00191.jpg000_00201.jpg000_00221.jpg000_00231.jpg000_00251.jpg  Now the first few pictures are not indicative of deviant lifestyle for our birthday girl, Jan.  I assume she knows the firefighters.  After being strapped down to the gurney she was wheeled outside - water and hose were somehow involved, but I chose to eat while the buffet table was empty.  A fun bunch, but the real party animals stayed for the last set, we danced until 10:30.  Those 3 shots before Jan’s pictures with the band were taken in the lounge where I caught some of our fans cheating on us!  They were dancing to our arch-nemesis, Chuck & the Wagon Wheels.  Nah, they’re good guys, they even let me sing a song with them.  We were honored that Joe chose us to help celebrate this milestone.  We will be in the lounge (Post 66) this coming Friday.

BECKY KAHN’S BIRTHDAY 6-6-09

000_0007.jpg000_0016.jpg000_0017.jpg000_0004.jpg000_0009.jpg000_0010.jpg000_0011.jpg000_0012.jpg000_0013.jpg000_0015.jpg000_0018.jpg000_0019.jpg000_0020.jpg000_0021.jpg000_0022.jpg000_0023.jpg000_0025.jpg000_0028.jpg000_0029.jpg  Our first gig at the Oro Valley Country Club was quite the spirited affair.  Brian asked us to play his wife’s (Becky, so glamorously modeling her Mid Life Shirt)  birthday party and I can safely say everyone had a good time.  Kay helped us with vocals and there was no shortage of cow bell and tambourine help.  It was nice to break out a few of our newer numbers but we found out you can never have enough disco.  There were plenty of pictures taken, so send them to me if you want to share them on the site.  Thanks to all the dancers and special thanks to my fellow State Farm Agent Tom Pena who recommended us for the party.  I also want to thank founding band member John Ankiewicz who rejoined us to fill in admirably while Khang is off cruising somewhere.  John picked up our songs in a couple of weeks and gives us power off the bench for those many times Khang is on vacation.  Thanks again for saving the gig John.
