Mid Life Crisis

    A few wires were crossed, but we managed to find the correct Elks lodge in time to begin.  I have to apologize for the first 5 pictures - I was a bit light-headed from the heat and I didn’t get the shots I should have on the first break.  I’m hoping we get to augment the posting with a few shots from in attendance. [UPDATED - Jan Pavis came through and shared some shots with us, thanks Jan!]  I had met a few of the members at some KOOL 1450 functions in the past (remember Way Back Wednesdays?), so I knew we had some dancers in the bunch.  We had a good time and had the floor full at the end.  I hope our schedules mesh so we can party together in the future.

  I’m pretty sure Angelina is going to let us come back on September 4th - the most rambunctious crowd we’ve seen here in quite a while.  Most were very receptive to the “rockier” numbers we played Friday - there were more than half-a-dozen songs we have not played in Green Valley for years if ever.  I have to commend our photographers (and I discovered Saturday night I have come to count on them) for the excellent fan shots, but the last one is mine - I believe Steve was Jo’s designated walker.  I want to thank my gracious dance partners, even those that were repulsed by the offer.  As always, wonderful to see Muggs & Joyce there, and I’m glad the ever-elegant Betty got a few dances in.  We had a couple of energetic tables of ladies that kept the floor full (thanks Susan, Mary, EJ, etc).  Only one more month to take advantage of our weight-reduction program in Green Valley - cooler temps are coming.
