We made a nice drive to the NE reaches of Marana for the hospitable folks here.  This is very nice ballroom, I hope they have us back soon.  I understand the crowd was a bit light because some snowbirds are still missing, but as always, enthusiasm can fill a room.  Look forward to next time.

The first picture says it all - we are much better (musically & looks-wise) when you have plenty of booze to soften the focus.  We had a good time and had a wonderful group to keep us company at the table.  Thanks to the GVR for having us back.

011.JPG021.JPG031.JPG041.JPG051.JPG061.JPG071.JPG08.JPG  It was the big empty dance floor - at least at the beginning.  Thankfully, it did start filling up and stayed nice and busy until the end, but at 10 you would have thought someone took a leafblower to the place.  It was just us and Angelina as we broke down the equipment.  The good people there were still appreciative even if we were missing Bob again (my fault) except for those that called Steve “Stinky” then “Slinky”.  What does he do or say during our breaks?  Maybe he needs to just stay behind his microphone.  Speaking of which - Khang did “sing” with us again even if he didn’t have the gusto I would have wanted.  Here’s hoping the snow birds keep coming back to join us.  I think we are still on for the Hoedown here on Nov. 7, but will see you for sure on Nov. 13.
