ELKS #2592 GREEN VALLEY - 12-5-2009

I don’t think it was fatigue as much as just losing concentration - I’m so glad our friends here are forgiving of our foibles.  We look forward to doing it again on Jan. 30.

011.JPG021.JPG031.JPG041.JPG051.JPG061.JPG071.JPG  Our friend Bill Segura is a good looking guy, but his daughters continue to stun us - so lovely and a fast learner on the dance floor (thanks for the dance!).  The time change didn’t throw us off too much, but we got a nice boost when Lola & Cher made their appearance (sorry ladies, we owe you some Elvis songs).  My guess is that EJ’s new shirt was a life statement?  A wonderful crowd and a fun time by all.  We’ll see some you Saturday the 12th for the Christmas party and return on Ground Hog Day.

EDDIE’S, TUCSON - DEC. 3, 2009

Considering the short notice, we got a pretty good little group out at Eddie’s in East Tucson.  Some of the bar regulars stayed with us all night and the last dance got everyone on the floor - a very good first night for us here.  Joanne was just going to stay for a short while, Linda was going to leave early because she was so tired, but then Shane & Jan showed up and it snowballed from there.  Suffice to say they helped us close the place down.  Special thanks to Rod McLeod (that’s him in the 5th picture showing his wife he wasn’t having a lot of fun) &  Mike Quinn for dropping by - we had a number of Hideout friends there and East-Coast Dominic had a rousing time before he flew out today.  Doug Higgins  & Joe Grimm from the Sixties Garage Band were there for the first set as well.  The stage was bit crowded but it kept us under control.  Come out next Thursday, we’ll have a bigger bunch there so seating will be at a premium.  We’ll play out country stuff earlier next week.  See you then!
