ELKS #2592 INAUGURAL - March 27, 2010

082.JPG042.JPG052.JPG062.JPG072.JPG092.JPG102.JPG  Jack was kind enough to ask that we help usher in his year as the Exhaulted Ruler of the Lodge.  It’s alwasys fun to see our friends all gussied up for the party.  We provided a bit more “elegant” music to honor the ocassion, but still snuck a few songs that let us all boogie.  I’m sorry that our friends in the bar weren’t able to join in.  It looks like we will play one more of these before we ride into the sunset next year - it will be an honor.  See the Elks back in the bar on April 24.

SUR REAL - March 26, 2010

012.JPG022.JPG032.JPG   I am so sorry for the quality of my pictures.  Because of the music we play here I can’t escape the corner to catch the dancers and it is low lighting.  The good news is that we did have the dance floor set up, but the bad news is that many wimped out at the later time.  Special thanks to Shane, the Nancys and Steve for staying the whole night, Chuck showed up to dance with us the first set as well.  We had dancers until the end, but still not what we’d like to see here.  I think we have one more chance to try and get things going, April 30, I’d sure like to make Angela smile.  Besides, if we don’t play here in May, we’ll never get “Billie Jean” into the rotation.  Here’s hoping for one more chance!

EDDIE’S, TUCSON - March 13, 2010

141.JPG151.JPG16.JPG18.JPG19.JPG17.JPG21.JPG20.JPG22.JPG23.JPG24.JPG   Well, it’s nice to finally get in a weekend gig at our neighborhood bar.  We had a very good crowd and the dance floor stayed pretty full the whole night even though a few people left around 11.  We got a song request in for Mary Anne, but she danced to just about all our rockers.  Shane, Nancy & Linda spiced things up along with Linda who left before I could get a shot of her in her Mid Life shirt.  Leanne, Jacinda, Jason, John & Liz joined us, but special kudos go to EJ who left the orbit of Green Valley to join us.  Jo would have been there but the hens were MIA and I had to steal her car when my battery died.  I spoke to Eddie and we’ll be back when both our schedules allow.  A fitting finish to a great week!
