GREEN VALLEY, LEGION POST 66 - March 12, 2010

011.JPG021.JPG031.JPG041.JPG051.JPG061.JPG071.JPG081.JPG091.JPG101.JPG111.JPG121.JPG131.JPG    Friday was a lot of fun . . . we had a full house and the popcorn girls made sure the energy level stayed high all night long.  Betty arrived late claiming that she was “recruiting” for us, but I suspect she has another band on the side.  We got to meet the third of Bill Segura’s lovely daughters and her husband and of course Joyce was there to make sure we played the right songs.  Angelina grudgingly admitted that business was okay - no gratitude for playing her favorite song.  We look forward to the return of Leah sometime soon (Gloria is keeping me posted) - see everyone again on April 2.

Cabaret Dance Club, Quail Creek - March 10, 2010

02.JPG03.JPG04.JPG05.JPG06.JPG07.JPG08.JPG09.JPG10.JPG11.JPG12.JPG13.JPG14.JPG15.JPG   We had a bevy of dancers that looked just fabulous in their poodle skirts . . . and the ladies weren’t bad either!  Bwa-ha-ha, now I’m as funny as Steve.  It was nice to have dancers and floor that needs its own traffic regs (see the third picture).  It’s always gratifying to see all the Mid Life T-shirts - I know one that will make it to the T-shirt page.  I know I’ve been telling people that we still have 21 months to go, but I realized last night that next year (I believe we’ve played this function for the last 3 years) will be our last time here for the Spring dance!  I had some pretty cute persuaders working on me after the dance to consider one more year.  Look at the solo shot of Steve - he was singing with his electronic back up singers, Khang was on bass - all they need to do is find another monkey to turn on the keyboard and they can carry on the Mid Life name.  We will see this fun-bunch next year - I told them whatever date they want is fine.

SUR REAL - March 5, 2020

I should have a couple of shots to add tomorrow (I left the camera in the gig bags at home - okay, there was only one shot I could use).  I’m sorry I never got enough shots here, but the last time the crowd was too sparse.  I really wish we could have had more friends & fans make it out.  Jo, Tom, Linda & Shane plus a few more joined us this past Friday and wore the carpet down a bit.  Angela, Kimberly and the rest of the staff are so wonderful here, it’s a shame it didn’t take off - there’s a chance we might have one more night here on March 26th, but let them know it might serve them best to have the same band here every Friday night.  Check it out if you are ever in the area, have a drink with the best view town.
