TAMMIES Cover Band Winner 2007, Runners Up 2006 & 2005, 2008 Finalists
July 8, 2010 - Thanks to our wonderfuls friends and fans we have made the TAMMIES finals once again! There is a very short window for voting, so go to http://tammies.com/, click on the left side where it says “Vote Here”. Keep in mind they are asking for a valid e-mail PLUS phone number or the vote doesn’t count. I believe them when they say they don’t share this information, I always use my work number, my team members would tell me if I was getting solicitor calls. Tell all your friends, but please only one vote per person, I would hate to be the band that gets drummed out for ballot stuffing. I would also ask that you consider voting for Reader’s Choice (R) nominees - it would nice if the Tucson Weekly realized that there is life beyond the downtown district and that places like Green Valley, Oro Valley & Marana have people that love music, but don’t go to Club Crawl or the Street Fairs. So hurry, voting ends Wednesday July 28!
Mark your calendars: The ceremony, concert and all-around good time for this year’s Tucson Area Music Awards, aka TAMMIES, will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Rialto Theatre. That’s when we’ll announce all of this year’s big winners, which will be determined by you, our lovely and intelligent music-loving readers.
So, go to http://tammies.com/, a top 3 finish means we will hang around one more year - through 2012.
Gilbert Castillo
PS - We still want your t-shirt pictures!

This message is for Steve. When Khang leaves on vacation, see if
you can pick a weekend and I will give you a smokin’ deal on
a deluxe room, bring your wife and guitar and we will jam on
some good ole rock n roll for an hour or two.
Your website is very impressive and your band photo has a
Pepsodent sparkle about it.
I’m with the Katz N’ Jammer Band, which off and on, have entertained
Tucson/Green Valley for around 24 years.
I would love to hear your offerings.
Later,
Dr John

Hi Gilbert,
Could you please help me find my mother’s (Joyce Foutch) photo that was taken at the American Legion. She would like me to print her a copy, but I am unable to locate it.
Thanks,
Rebecca

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the wonderful tribute to Bob Berry. Annie has seen it, and when she quits crying, she will be back on line to respond. You are all really special to all of the “Green Valley Groupies”, and I for one appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Thanks again,
Nancy

Gilbert, Steve, Bob and Khang,
I can’t thank you enough for your tribute to “my Bobby” … somehow I know that he has seen it and is smiling.
Long before I returned to Green Valley, Bob would tell me stories about “Midlife Crisis” … he loved coming and dancing to your music and he sincerely liked each of you. It was a real highlight when he finally got to “bring me out” to dance to Midlife Crisis when I returned to Arizona. And then, of course, I knew why … the talent each of you bring to the group makes Midlife Crisis an outstanding band to dance and listen to. Add your individual personalities to that mix and you rank #1 in all departments.
We had already marked the calendar and planned on being at the Elks tonight … you’ll never know how badly I wish we could have made just “one more dance”.
Be sure and play “Wicked Games” in the second set, just for Bob and I tonight. I’ll be watching the clock and remembering.
Many thanks,
Annie Berry

3 years ??? 3 ??? Why not round it out to 4 ??? That’s better karma. The moon will be aligned with all the mid planets. Get the connection.
Besides your daughter will need support for 4 years (or more). What ya gonna do, cut her off ??? 4 more years….four more years !!!!!!

I saw you play at La Encantada this weekend and you sounded
like a fun, danceable, rockin’ band. I’m looking for a 3 or 4 person
band for my wife’s surprise 50th birthday party on July 10 at
Hacienda del Sol for about 30 people, and was wondering if you
might be available. I had contacted another band but they have
not followed up.
If you’re interested please call me at my work # 742-9166, as
my e-mail is not secure…
Rock On,
Dan
